‘Crossing’ intends to observe and understand the people we see every day on the busy tube. We tend to put people in boxes and assume things about them but everyone has their own story. This piece investigates these stories and relationships as we follow our characters trying to make sense of their lives in the city.

Tom's introduction to theatre started in 2012 with the company Frantic Assembly. Since Graduating in 2016, Tom has continued to work in theatre with interests in devised projects and movement within performance. This is Tom’s first appearance at the Camden Fringe.

CAST

Jimand Allotey

 

Crossing will be  Jimand ’s  Camden Fringe debut.

 

Jimand graduated in 2017 from the University Of  Kent with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama  and Theatre. Jimand also  trained  at Pippa’s MFDA academy  in Ballet  and has previously  attended  West End Stage Summer School. Jimand has appeared in theatre in the UK and in her native country of Ghana.

 

Her previous theatre credits include: Eponine in  Les Miserables (Ghana National Theatre), Pepper in Annie (Ghana National Theatre) and as Delores in Sister Act (West End Stage Summer School, Majesty’s Theatre). Theatre credits whilst training include:  Carmen in Fame   ( Gulbenkian  Theatre) and Minnie in Parade  (Marlowe Studio).  Jimand wishes to one day perform on a West End stage.

Nell Bradbury

 

Nell trained at Drama Studio London and graduated in 2016 after completing a Politics BA at the University of Sheffield.

 

Theatre credits while training include Mermaid (Tristan Bates Theatre), Spring Awakening (New Diorama), Love's Labour's Lost, The Beaux Stratagem, The Cherry Orchard and Les Liaisons Dangereuses.

 

Nell was a finalist in the 2016 BBC Carleton Hobbs Radio Drama Award.

 

Since graduating, Nell's theatre credits include 'Romeo & Juliet' (Waltham Forest Fringe), 'The Merchant of Venice' (The Cockpit), 'Heroines' (Theatre N16 & Churchill Theatre), 'The Feigned Courtesans' (The Rose Playhouse, Bankside) 'Beyond the Blue' (Clapham Omnibus Theatre) 'Deborah's Children' (The Park Theatre), and 'Alice in Wonderland' (NorthEast Producers).

Arghierenia Kyrimi

Arghierenia trained at London School of Dramatic Art and Drama Studio London, graduating from the latter in 2017. She is a bicultural actor, writer and producer, originally from Athens, Greece and a co-founder of Jittery Pens Productions. Arghierenia holds a diploma in Theatre Design from UAL and she is also a skilled martial artist. 


Credits while training include After Columbus (New Diorama), Arabian Nights (New Diorama), Antony and Cleopatra (DSL), The Comedy of Errors (DSL), The Way of the World (DSL), Hotel Paradiso (DSL) and Six Characters Looking for an Author (Bhavan Theatre - LSDA). 


Other theatre credits include Fleshed Out (The Cockpit)

Benjamin May

 

Recent theatre credits include; Britannicus (Pentameters Theatre), The Essence of Love (Quorum Theatre), Call it Even (Pleasance Theatre), Pygmalion (London Theatre) and Dick Whittington (touring).

 

Recent corporate work includes: Carphone Warehouse, Bauer Media, Postal Museum, Madame Tussaud’s and Canon.

 

Ben has also narrated a number of titles for audible.com including; Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and Oliver Twist. He is also an audience compere for the BBCs The One Show.

Ugo Nelson

Ugo trained at Drama Studio London, graduating in 2017. He is an actor, writer, producer and spoken word artist and  a co-founder of Jittery Pens Productions. Ugo also holds a degree in Law from Middlesex University.

 

He became a published poet at the age of 16.

 

Credits while training include Earthquakes in London (New Diorama), Arabian Nights (New Diorama), Macbeth, The Way of the World and the Cherry Orchard, amongst others.

Ugo is currently rehearsing for 'On Missing' with Wretched Theatre. 

Oliver Parnell

Oliver is a young actor from South London, trained at The Actors Centre and Home Studio. He is also a founding member of That Lot Theatre Company, a brand new company focusing on gritty, witty, London-based theatre.

 

Previous credits include: Franny/Xavier/Martin in Balm in Gilead (Diorama Studios), Pte Allen McLean Ramsey in WeAreHere (National Theatre), Danial in Submission and Jordan in Sarah, Sky & 7 Other Guys (both C Royale, Edinburgh) Guv'nor/Richard Wright in Bluebird (Katzpace) Mark in People, Places & Things (Home Studio) and Dad in The Expense of Simplicity (Etcetera Theatre).

 

Oliver and That Lot will soon have their company debut with a production of Jez Butterworth's Mojo, performing at the Hen and Chickens later this year. 

Zain Qureshi

Since graduating from The Central School of Speech and Drama in 2015, Zain has been very busy. As a commercial artist he has modelled and been in productions for many big names. To name a few, Audi, Jaguar, Michael Kors, George @ Asda, Sainsburys, Getty, Google, Philips to name a few.

 

He is the lead in the first ever MI5 TV advert, to be released later this year and in 2016 Homeland booked him as a character for a number of episodes. But with the highs come the lows and the role went to a US based actor at the very last minute.

 

He is currently shooting a feature to be released on Amazon Prime in early 2019. A staunch follower of the Method he is a late bloomer in the industry and counts the actors he admires most as Marlon Brando, Daniel Day Lewis, Leonardo DiCaprio & Jack Nicholson.

Corinne Strickett

Corinne trained at The Poor School and has worked extensively in theatre and film.

 

She is an actor and writer and has had voice-over roles in The Pleasures of War, an animated film for Channel Four and Keep Young and Beautiful for TVS, which she also co-wrote.

 

Corinne was part of Grapes of Wrath at the Nuffield Theatre, Southampton directed by Abbey Wright. Other plays include lead roles in Kinder transport by Daniel Samuels and Colder than Here by Laura Wade.

 

She regularly performs in a two-handed production of Ghost Stories for Christmas at the Lantern Theatre, Brighton and has played numerous parts in four seasons of the 10x10 festival in Hampshire. She has recently been involved in a production of Jug life at the Basingstoke Festival, performing monologues based on interviews with over a hundred women.
